Overview
The White Cloud Minnow, also commonly known as the White Cloud Mountain Minnow, is a popular beginner aquarium fish due to their hardy, forgiving nature and ease of care. Their bodies are light and somewhat translucent in color with white striping down their sides and a bright orange or red spot on the dorsal fin and the base of the tail fin.
They will do well in a peaceful community aquarium, and are a well-tempered schooling species. They should be kept in a school of at least six, but even more are ideal. If their shoal is too small, they may be easily stressed and prone to hiding.
Omnivores, these minnows will accept a wide variety of foods, including pellets, high quality flakes, and live and frozen preparations.
