Overview
The Leopard Danio is a variant of the popular Zebra Danio. Their bodies are a light metallic golden color like the Zebra Danio, but instead of numerous stripes they have a multitude of small spots that are medium to dark blue-grey in color.
They should be kept in a group of at least 6 since they are schooling fish, and may squabble amongst themselves to determine a pecking order. Having a proper sized school will also negate any fin nipping behavior. They are a good choice for most community tanks with other small, relatively peaceful fish. They will appreciate a planted tank with plenty of open swimming space.
Their diet should consist of high quality flakes and pellets as well as live and frozen foods.
