The Hawaiian Flame Wrasse is also called the Jordan's Fairy Wrasse, Flame Fairy Wrasse or simply Jordan's Wrasse. The male has a whitish yellow underbelly and sides, and his top half is bright reddish pink and gradually fades into the lighter coloration of his belly. The face has brilliant yellow markings. Females will have less vibrant markings.
These wrasses are reef safe and will do well both in a reef setup or a fish-only aquarium. They require a secluded and dark area to hide, such as a cave made from live rock, in order to thrive. They will not bother corals or invertebrates, and are not aggressive towards tankmates. They must have a tight fitting lid to prevent jumping.
Their diet should include mysis shrimp, brine shrimp and other meaty preparations.
