Overview

The Exquisite Wrasse is a green and blue bodied fish with a white underbelly and striking markings in reds, oranges, yellows and purples that vary greatly depending on the region it was caught from and it's mood, as well as it's maturity. Adult males will generally display the brightest colors, especially if housed with females.

Like other wrasses, it is very prone to jumping and should have a lidded aquarium. It will do fine in a reef setting or in a fish only community aquarium. Hiding places should be provided within the tank. It can be housed in a group with one male and multiple females, in a pair, or singly. It should be fed meaty foods containing mysis shrimp and will accept both frozen and flake and pellet foods.
