The Freshwater Angelfish is a popular fish due to its uniqueness, vivacious personality, and the fact that it comes in a wide assortment of colors. Assorted Veil angels may be marbled, solid silver or black, silver with black stripes, or occasionally pale gold in color.
They will appreciate an aquarium with plenty of swimming space. They can be kept with a variety of tankmates and are not very aggressive aside from during feeding time and they may become territorial when they are breeding. They can also be housed in groups of their own species and will pair themselves off to spawn.
Freshwater Angels are usually excellent, ravenous eaters and will accept a wide variety of foods. They will take pellets, flakes, live, freeze dried and frozen preparations. They should be given both meaty foods and vegetable matter for proper health.
