Parancistrus aurantiacus. The Peppermint Pleco is a striking South American catfish known for its bold black and white striped pattern. This peaceful bottom-dweller is an excellent algae eater and makes a beautiful addition to medium to large aquariums. They prefer driftwood, caves, and hiding spots, and thrive in well-oxygenated water with moderate flow. Feed a varied diet of algae wafers, vegetables, and occasional protein-based foods.
