As the name implies, their size is tiny with the main body measuring about 1 cm and fits very easily in the palm of your hand (even a few of them can fit); they measure about 2.5 cm with their legs extended. Their color is close to transparent to a dull grey. They feed on dead organic materials and are thus called detritivores.
