Crenuchus spilurus. The Sailfin Tetra is a stunning and unique characin from the Amazon basin, known for its dramatically elongated dorsal fin that resembles a sail. Males display particularly impressive finnage and engage in fascinating display behaviors. These peaceful fish add elegance and movement to planted community aquariums.
Sailfin Tetras prefer soft, slightly acidic water with plenty of plants and hiding spots. They are peaceful schooling fish that do best in groups of 6 or more, where their natural behaviors and colors truly shine.
