Overview

The Mimic Lemon Peel Tang gets its common name from its imitative coloring as a juvenile. Its body is a bright, striking yellow with vibrant blue running along the edge of the gills and above the eyes, mimicking the Lemonpeel Angelfish. As an adult, the body is a medium tan color with bright orange highlights on the gills and eyes. The tip of the tail is yellow.

It requires plenty of swimming space and live rock, and will form a territory within the tank. Most of the time it will be peaceful towards other fish, but will be aggressive towards other tangs or surgeonfish. While they will eat meaty foods, it is important that they get plenty of herbivorous foods like seaweed and marine algae.
